Method 1: The Flexible Tape Measure
Measuring with a soft, flexible tape measure is the most direct way to ensure your press-ons fit comfortably and securely. This method accounts for the natural curve of your nail bed, which is vital for a truly artisanal look and all-day comfort.
- 1. Use a flexible tape measure across the widest part of your natural nail.
- 2. Ensure the tape follows the curve of your nail bed for a precise fit.
- 3. Record the width of each nail in millimeters (mm).
- 4. Pro Tip: Measure both hands! Sizes can often differ between your left and right fingers.
The Paper & Pen Method
If you don't have a flexible measuring tape, the paper-and-pen method is a highly reliable way to determine your nail sizes using simple household tools.
1. Mark Your Nail
Place a small strip of paper across the widest part of your natural nail bed. Carefully mark the sides where your nail meets the skin on both sides.
2. Flatten and Measure
Remove the paper and lay it flat against a ruler. Measure the distance between the lines you marked in millimetres (mm) for the best fit.
3. Record Your Sizes
Document the measurements for all 10 fingers. We recommend rounding up by 1mm if you find your measurement falls between two lines.
